Rob Neesham

Rob has been involved in the sport of Water Polo for over 30 years as a member of Melville Water Polo Club.  Rob has a genuine passion for the game that offers life-long benefits of health, fitness, competition and friendship.  He believes that strong clubs are the foundation of our sport and considers it a privilege to be part of the leadership team at both Melville Water Polo Club(MWPC) and Fremantle Water Polo(FWP) – one of the most successful clubs in the country.

Rob has had a successful playing and coaching career, representing WA in both junior and senior state teams and Australia at the 1985 Junior World Championships.  Rob has participated in the AIS and WAIS Water Polo programs and played 91 games over six (6) seasons in the Australian National Water Polo League (NWPL).

Rob has a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management from Flinders University. Outside of his involvement in Water Polo, Rob served as a police officer for 20 years before joining the Oil & Gas sector as a Security Adviser. Rob currently works as a Business Improvement Manager in the HSEQ division.

Rob has had the opportunity to give back to the sport through coaching juniors and seniors at both club and state level, developing talented athletes, many of whom went on to national representative honours. Rob has been involved in administering water polo as a board member of WPWAI and currently as the President of MWPC and FWP.
