The Mariners had a closer game in their Game 2, with the Hurricanes showing good fight to come hard in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. The Mariners managed to hold on however and ran out winners 14-9.

Post Match with Mariners coach Laurie Trettel:

It’s really encouraging to see the team continue to find different ways to score goals at a high rate. It was also great to get a competitive game on Sunday against a mostly full strength Hunter and we did really well to grind out a convincing win after a tight first half. The focus will be to further solidify our defence as it will be the key for us in having success on the Sydney road trip and finals”

The QUBE Player of the Round was James Fannon. A special mention also goes to Madeleine Quinn who played two great games.Copy of Davis - Qube player of the round 6 (1).png
